Foreword
The Ford 6000 Tractor features a sophisticated constant-pressure hydraulic system with closed-center valving. Maintenance of the nitrogen gas pre-charge in the accumulator is critical; a minimum of 1250 psi is required to prevent internal damage. When servicing the Select-O-Speed transmission, never use force during assembly—parts must assemble freely to ensure correct indexing of the planetary gear train. Use only Ford M-2C-41 Hydraulic Fluid to protect the high-precision axial-piston pumps and vane motors.
