Professional Rebuilding
Before attempting a twin cylinder engine overhaul, ensure your shop is equipped with proper tools and mechanics are familiar with the internal balance gear synchronization. The Posi-Lock connecting rods are narrower on Style D pistons and are not interchangeable with earlier Series II rods. Failure to observe correct flywheel torque (40 ft. lb.) or keyway alignment can result in cracked crankshafts or personal injury. Always use new gaskets and follow the specified sealant patterns for a leak-free reassembly.
