Professional Overhaul Insight
Absolute cleanliness is the single most important factor when servicing Cessna hydrostatic units. The hydraulic system must be thoroughly flushed before reinstalling a rebuilt transmission to prevent immediate failure of the high-precision piston shoes. Note that relief valves are factory-set and must only be replaced as matched sets. Ensure the valve plate arrow is correctly oriented for Windrower applications to align charging ports with the closed-loop kidney ports.
