This service manual provides instructions for troubleshooting, removal, inspection, replacement and overhaul of 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982 and 1983 Model 4400 VERSATILE Swather components. The service manual should be used in conjunction with the parts manual for the specific model year. Clean oil seals and hoses with soap and water. Never use solvent. Replace all leaking or worn oil seals and gaskets. Never reuse cork or felt gaskets. Always replace them.
